Hello everyone! My name is Atia Yama, and l am a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) with a diploma in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Childhood and Youth Studies. My education and professional experience have shaped my approach to early learning as a time for building confidence, curiosity, and emotional security alongside academic and developmental growth.
What matters most to me as an educator is creating genuine, trusting relationships with children. I am intentional in how I observe, listen to, and respond to each child’s unique needs, interests, and emotions.
When children feel safe, valued, and understood, they are more confident to explore, express themselves, and engage meaningfully in their environment. I strive to support children through play, thoughtful interactions, and consistent care that helps them feel secure and empowered.
I strongly believe in play-based and child-led learning, where curiosity and creativity guide discovery.
Watching children gain confidence, share their ideas, and develop a love for learning is what makes this work so fulfilling for me.
